Abstract :
An extraction technique, valid even in analysis of Leaky SAW (STW, in particular), is found for evaluation of the key (demanded by the COM theory) local characteristics per period of an interdigital transducer (IDT). The complex picture of the "LSAW-IDT/Grating" interaction is represented in terms of mutual coupling of two counter-propagating waves, assuming that the effects linked with the bulk acoustic waves (BAWs) excitation processes influence the COM parameter values. Infinitely long regular short-circuited grating (SCG) and IDT are analyzed to evaluate the desired dispersion features of every COM parameter with a good accuracy.
