Abstract :
This study compares two non-invasive imaging modalities, ultrasound biomicroscopy (UBM) and optical coherence tomography (OCT), of Xenopus Laevis embryos. Differences in the underlining physics for image formation, and similarities in the signal processing will be presented in terms of imaging depth, spatial resolution, frame rate, and flow velocity estimation. Finally, the suitability of a combined UBM/OCT imaging system will be explored.
