Abstract :
A new type of fingerprint sensor is presented. Based on 1-3 piezo composites the sensor provides resolution up to 50 um. Using FE modeling the study presents the numerical validation of the basic principle, an optimized pillar aspect ratio, spatial resolution and the PSF for a 100 μm pitch model.
