Abstract :
The sensitivity analysis of the gap fraction of canopy characteristics is investigated. The gap fraction governs the radiative transfer within canopies and the leaf clumping has an important contribution in these processes. Therefore, the variation of the leaf clumping parameter λ with canopy structure and view direction was examined. Thanks to the 3D computer canopy modelling. A new parameterization of the λ parameter was proposed.
