Abstract :
This paper gives details of the Envisat ASAR image mode products quality analysis. Initially, a description of the analysis methodology and performance assessment tools and the image properties are given followed by the image quality analysis. This analysis includes format verification, impulse response function measurements, equivalent number of looks and radiometric resolution determination, analysis of azimuth ambiguities, localization accuracy, preliminary radiometric calibration and the derivation of noise equivalent radar crosssection.
