Abstract
We report on the fabrication of waveguides in silicate glasses by ultrafast laser processing using a 2 MHz fiber based CPA system. Writing speeds of up to 100 mm/s and a refractive index increase of up to 8/spl times/10/sup -3/ were achieved.
