Abstract
Parametric amplifiers can boost signals with 0 dB noise-figure penalty, which for conventional linear optical amplifiers approaches 3 dB at high gains. We will present results on noise performance of fiber optical parametric amplifiers, focusing on regimes of noiseless signal amplification.
