  • Abstract
    A class-AB fT-integrator is proposed, utilising a fully complementary bipolar technology. The integrator has been employed for biquadratic filter design, where its performance is extensively compared to the previously designed class-A fT-integrator-based circuits. Simulation results confirm better linearity offered by the proposed circuit over its class-A predecessor. By employing a 6-GHz bipolar process, the filter achieves 130-550 MHz centre-frequency tuning range and the Q is made tuneable by co-operating an over-compensating positive current-feedback technique with an additional adjustable lossy current-cell. The dynamic range of the filter was found to be 38 dB and 53 dB for SFDR and IP3-DR, respectively.
