  • Abstract
Real-time 3D image computation can be slowed-down by the re-mapping process of optical positions to 3D coordinates. This re-mapping process usually includes the calculation of heavy trigonometric functions. In this paper, we introduce a hardware-software codesign model, which aims to compute a 3D image with respect to time-cost constraints. Simulation results are presented to show the speed-up achieved by the proposed model over a pure software-based implementation.
