Abstract
This paper describes a PSS structure aided to handle the oscillations caused by the network frequency and/or network voltage deviation. In most cases, especially if the power plants investigated are on the boundary of a large system or the network is relatively weak, the impacts of the frequency oscillations in steady state - (ΔfN) - are not negligible. On boundaries the damping effect of consumption is generally not satisfactory because the load density is relatively small. The paper describes the constructing and tuning procedure to make a PSS with good performance in steady state and during great disturbances in the frequency range of 0.01 -15 Hz.
