Abstract :
In this work the development of a model for the simulation of fast transients on non-uniform multiconductor transmission lines excited by incident fields is presented. The proposed transmission line model is based on the method of characteristics of partial differential equations and is able to include resistive losses and wave speed variations. The results obtained with the model are compared with those obtained with the EMTP.
