Abstract :
Due to the importance of stating the operating mode of an electromechanical system, techniques to detect the steady-state, to estimate the fundamental frequency and to detect the presence of amplitude modulation (AM) will be presented to make a menu of light but robust and possibly fast algorithms for a simple time-domain (TD) analysis, intended as preanalysis for all that diagnostic methods, which are based upon the a-priori knowledge of the stationary segment of the monitored signals.
