Abstract :
A novel low cost architecture is proposed for small stand alone photovoltaic systems with load transfer capability to achieve quasi-UPS behaviour and/or maximum energy utilization strategy. Load transfer is operated by simple connection of electromechanical power relay(s). A PV test facility has been carried out and test results show that the proposed load transfer system is also suitable with sensible loads as personal computers.
