Abstract :
In this paper, we report a simple simulation of flying distance of snow blocks on roof with PV system in order to contribute making the safety solar-housing plan in the heavily snowy city. We have estimated the flying distance of the snow blocks on the PV roof, and the distance reaches over the half of the average road width in Japan. The result indicates that the complete solution of the problem cannot be obtained from the city plan only and, therefore, the PV system should have some snow melting and/or snow protective fence systems to avoid the snow accidents.
