Abstract
This paper addresses the current matching of a-Si:H//spl mu/c-Si:H tandem cells in the initial and stabilised state. Different matching conditions were obtained by a variation of top and bottom cell i-layer thickness, top cell i-layer deposition conditions and properties of the TCO coated glass substrates. The best cells showed stabilised efficiencies of 10.4% and 11.2% for 1 cm/sup 2/ solar cells prepared on tin oxide and zinc oxide substrates, respectively. An equivalent network model was developed to analyse and explain the experimental results.
