Abstract
On the basis of series and shunt resistances determined from the dynamic characterization and fill factors obtained from the static I-V characterization, comparison is made for two solar cell modules having low and high fill factors. The established correspondence is observed between the FF, R/sub s/, and R/sub sh/. Dynamic characterization provides the voltage and frequency dependent R/sub d/, C/sub D/ and C/sub T/, in addition to the voltage independent resistances R/sub s/ and R/sub sh/ that can be obtained from static characterization. Dynamic characterization also yields information on comparative fill factors of modules, but not quantitative values. However, other essential electrical parameters of modules required to predict the grid interaction can only be obtained from the dynamic characterization. The implication is that if the main interest is in investigating the grid interaction, information from the dynamic characterization of modules are necessary and sufficient.
