Abstract :
We have experienced a huge increase in the development and usage of e-learning, particularly by academic institutions. Among the greatest advantages offered by distance learning to both academics and students is accessibility, mobility and collaboration. These advantages address only one aspect of the learning process. Other factors, such as the adoption of classical pedagogical methods to the new environment, the incorporation of human, social and cultural factors in the e-learning tools and the opening of the educational process for continuous learning to all people regardless of their background need to be addressed as well. We aim to continue the MEDFORIST´s attempt by presenting a methodology for developing a quality e-learning environment based on human, social and cultural factors.
