Abstract
This paper expounds on the key features of an integrated design flow and relevant tools for exceptional power distribution system design. Careful treatment is given to the practical factors that are inherent in the design and analysis of the power distribution system, including documentation, accuracy, throughput time, automation, flexibility, integration, reuse, and change control. Furthermore, since some of these factors are competing, the new methods allow for real-time tradeoffs (e.g. between accuracy and throughput time). Examples and specific implementation recommendations are presented for those who wish to employ similar methods within their own design groups.
