Abstract :
Summary form only given. The beyond 3G mobile communication R&D project named future technologies for universal radio environment (FuTURE) under the framework of the national 863 program is addressed. The technical requirements derived from the beyond 3G mobile communication system are summarized. Key techniques necessary for the FuTURE project are presented, including cell structure, application environmental adaptation, multiple access scheme, MIMO turbo receiver etc.
