Abstract :
This paper proposes a server-paid hot spot Wi-Fi Internet service method. The principle is to let a server pay hot spot Wi-Fi service providers to get free Wi-Fi service for a certain group of users so that these users can access the server or the server´s network via Wi-Fi access points at those hot spots. This paper addresses details on how to implement such server-paid service in a secure manner, including how to enable hot spot Wi-Fi service provider to enforce user authentication without knowing the authentication credential between a user and the server that pays for the user, and how to prevent a server from being charged by a dishonest hot spot Wi-Fi service provider that fakes user activities.
