Abstract
The cell search and frequency synchronization algorithms for beyond third generation (B3G) systems are presented in this paper. The new frame structure in downlink is suggested. Based on this structure, we propose a three-stage cell search procedure: slot synchronization, frame synchronization and cell ID identified, which are discussed in detail. Then frequency synchronization usage of training sequence is presented. Algorithm analysis draw the mean acquisition time of cell search and brings out frequency synchronization process. Computer simulations are conducted to evaluate the performance of the cell search and frequency synchronization algorithm in different channel conditions. It is shown that, the proposed cell search procedure is fast, and frequency synchronization algorithm is accuracy.
