Abstract
Two blind estimation algorithms are proposed for frequency offset and symbol timing of a linearly modulated waveform transmitted through a frequency-selective multi-path fading channel. The proposed algorithms do not require training sequence, and are only based on the second order cyclostationarity of received signals. The methods are characterized by independence of the color and distribution of the fading distortion or the additive noise, and robust to multi-path fading effects. The theoretic analysis and simulations show that the proposed blind estimation algorithms are efficient.
