Abstract :
A method of estimating the shape of a rigidly moving object, using the optical flow obtained by a continuously moving monocular camera is proposed. In this method, the motion parameter and shape of the object can be estimated from optical flow image and nominal range to it. Experimental results show that this algorithm is feasible by using an ultrasonic range sensor.
