Abstract :
A continuous-time sliding mode control algorithm that is suitable for its digital implementation is investigated for a class of MIMO nonlinear systems. In the algorithm, the control input guarantees to drive the state trajectory toward the sliding hyperplane and then to keep it in the narrowest neighborhood of the sliding hyperplane, which thickness is determined based on the system uncertainties and the sampling frequency.
