Abstract :
We demonstrate that a finite difference time domain (FDTD) method analyzes precisely electromagnetic field of nerve impulses in brain. An essential advantage of FDTD method is that an arbitrary shape of the brain and any heterogeneous properties of propagation in brain can be used. Thus, the proposed method can analyze complex electromagnetic field and provides a better estimation of EEG (or MEG) activity that is a measurement of the electromagnetic field on the scalp of head.
