Abstract
We consider in this paper that the use of personal attributes can improve robustness and reliability of the facial authentication. We assume the electronic ID passport system in rich network environments, where the eigenface-based method enables a division of image data into the coefficients stored in the ID card and the eigenface sequence stored in the secure database system. We show construction of the eigenface sequence can be more descriptively by categorizing the facial data set according to the personal attributes. We also show the division can improve security and encryption of the facial image data.
