Abstract :
This paper focuses on new technologies and methods used in modern ship control systems. Presented is summary of advanced methods for identifying ship hydrodynamic coefficients, new technologies and methods applied to ship steering systems, nonlinear controller for station-keeping, nonlinear tracking control together with their applications and some technological developments in response to environment issues in marine transportation.
