Abstract :
The physical principles governing ion flow in biological neurons share some interesting similarities to electron flow through the channel of a MOSFET transistor. Here we describe a circuit which seeks to exploit these similarities to produce a circuit which behaves in a manner similar to biology. Using this approach, we have developed a circuit which is extremely small in size and is capable of generating output similar to biology in shape, magnitude, and time.
