Abstract
The adaptive circuits concept (ACC) presented in this paper is an alternative to reliance on specialized process technologies for achieving tight matching requirements by embedding small, quiet, adaptive signal blocks within analog chips. Such adaptive digital blocks are envisioned as highly reusable, adaptive, standard components part of a design library. These adaptive standard components target to adjust/compensate/adapt the analog RF circuits affected by typical analog problems such as mismatch. This ability to adapt circuits, after they are packaged, enables design tradeoffs between performances, area and cost.
