Abstract :
This paper presents an analysis of the quantized sequence in the single-loop sigma-delta modulator with constant input. Our description provides insight into the sequence structure and shows how the information about the input value is encoded into the bit stream. We analyse the information content of the quantized sequence and show how this information can be exhaustively decoded. The performance of the optimal decoder is compared with that of linear filtering.
