Abstract
A dual-frequency triangular microstrip patch antenna is described, where the dual-frequency operation is realized by loading a rectangular notch at the bottom side of a triangular patch. Moreover, a new organic magnetic material recently developed in China is adopted as the substrate, resulting in a size-reduction of 32% as compared to a regular patch antenna, and it has wider bandwidths for both bands. Simulation and experimental results are presented, showing the validity of this design.
