Abstract :
The synthetic function expansion (SFX) method reduces the complexity of the MoM analysis of antenna and scattering problems by dividing the overall structure into portions, recognizing that the degrees of freedom of the field coupling between the solution on these portions are limited, and building basis functions that exploit this property. This ability to break down the problem into smaller ones is exploited for the analysis of the performance of an antenna when it is inserted into the environment intended for its specific communication task, and for inter-antenna coupling in various platforms. This communication includes a simple example for validation purposes.
