  • Abstract
The concept of virtual instruments has been applied to a three-phase, delta connected induction motor. Electronic units are designed and constructed to interface high voltages and currents from machine to a computer. The essential parameters such as line currents, voltages, torque and speed are monitored. The circuit connections and the information gathered from machine are displayed continuously on the screen. Data from the machine can be saved in tabular form for off-line analysis. This application of virtual instrumentation enables remote monitoring of electric drives through the internet.
