Abstract
This paper presents a thin diameter multistage horizontally polarized wave antenna for PHS data communication base stations. Its application is in producing a stable transmission system for 128 kbps bit rate and in the preparation for upgrade to 256 kbps. A 1.9 GHz band PHS is given as an example for use in base stations and wireless LAN equipment.
