  • Abstract
    We present a technique based on using Mellin transforms for obtaining closed form expressions for the mean capacity of multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) systems for wireless communication links. Using the theory presented here, we are able to recover the results already available for single-input-single-output (SISO) and single-input-multiple-output (SIMO) systems under Rayleigh fading and are able to generate new results for other types of fading in SISO systems and for general MIMO systems, both with IID entries and with a keyhole.
