  • Abstract
    A new antenna concept with two separate antennas for different frequency bands interleaved within the same aperture has been introduced. A breadboard with 2 (Tx) + 2 (Rx) waveguides has been designed, measured and successfully evaluated. It was found that the breadboard antenna was well matched at the desired frequencies and that the isolation between the two frequency bands was high, in the order of 20 dB. It could also be concluded that the passive, inactive waveguides act as parasitic elements and reduce the grating lobe level considerably.
