Abstract
A pulse excitation analysis technique is presented and is used to analyze a shorted biconical ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna. The differential group delay is observed to help understand the pulse-radiation behavior. The technique is applicable to analysis or design and can be used to compare and contrast some typical UWB radiators.
