Abstract :
We present a novel single-feed patch antenna consisting of a coplanar probe-fed rectangular patch and a parasitic shorted patch for applications in EGSM (880-960 MHz), DCS and PCS (1850-1990 MHz) base stations. In addition, the proposed antenna can be easily fed by using a simple coplanar probe feed at the center of the radiating edge of the driven rectangular patch. Details of the proposed antenna design are described, and experimental and simulation results are presented.
