Abstract :
A dual-polarized coplanar waveguide coupled (slot fed) patch antenna has been presented, which is useful for front-end receivers in indoor or local-loop short link wireless applications. A prototype has been fabricated in an extremely reduced space (22 mm of diameter). The particularity of the feed system allows the use of a single layer, while maintaining a physical separation between BFN and radiating plane. As a consequence the prototype exhibits attractive features of reduced cross-polarisation levels and cross-coupling between the two polarization channels, accompanied by low technological cost.
