Abstract :
Viable methods of achieving mechanical beam scanning have been examined. The conclusion can be drawn that each of these methods provides adequate beam scanning; therefore the choice really becomes a system design decision. The study was done using a Cassegrain antenna configuration; however, the method can also be applied to other reflector systems.
