Abstract :
This paper employs lattices composed of source voltage amplitude and its frequency to scan operation region of power transformer, being as design and operation reference of power system. Based on economic consideration for power transformer, most of operating points approach saturation area. When system outages or disturbances occur, the operating point is possible into saturation region, resulting in harmonic, sub- harmonic, or nonlinear resonance following with over-voltage. Consequently, the over-voltage phenomenon not only pollutes power quality of customer side, but also degrade insulation of breaker or equipment and furthermore damage power appliances.
