Abstract :
This paper demonstrates the feasibility of building switched filter-banks using direct switched bandpass filtering in a channel-drop configuration. An almost seamless combination of adjacent channel signals is achieved through an advanced filter response optimisation. Implementing the switched filter bank in high-temperature superconductive planar filters attains low ripple insertion loss under all switching conditions. Simulations and measurements on a two-channel C-band HTS filter-bank validate the new concept.
