Abstract :
A generalized dual-control system (GDCS) is introduced by extending traditional dual-control system (DCS) to MIMO system. In the GDCS, there are two control targets, one is tracing process output set-point and another is tracing process input set-point. The two control targets can also be divided as the dynamic target and the steady target separately. Because the GDCS is more complex, the traditional control method based on PID algorithm is not applicable any more. To achieve the control targets, a kind of multi-purpose control method is proposed here, which is called the aggregative performance index method. However, based on the aggregative performance index method, a new predictive control strategy with dual optimized horizon is also presented for the GDCS. The simulation results show that the method is powerful and efficient.
