Abstract
The paper analyzes the stability of switched systems with linear and time-varying system matrices. The first part, present two concepts: the equal-time interval (ETI) switching sequence and the periodic switching sequence. Under periodic switching sequences derive sufficient conditions for stability and instability of the systems based on matrix measure theory. Time-invariant conditions are further simplified. Two examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the results.
