Abstract
This paper proposes special wavelet packet algorithm for power quality factors measurement and the extension of this algorithm for active signal filtering using the same wavelet approach. The wavelet packet algorithm was applied to measure rms values of power factor and total harmonic distortion instead of usual Fourier technique. This algorithm has showed the high accuracy in measurement of named factors for the set of test signals. The extension of this algorithm for active signal filtering purposes is presented.
