Abstract :
Nonlinear crosstalk for quaternary differential-phase ASK modulation is analyzed. Significant crosstalk penalty is measured for nonlinear phase shifts of 0.4 rad and above. A compensating technique is proposed and demonstrated, increasing the tolerance by 4.3 dB.
