Abstract :
A NOLM incorporating highly nonlinear fiber is implemented in a 42.66 Gbit/s dispersion-managed RZ loop, yielding Q-factors of 12.7 dB and 11 dB at 10,000 km distance in single-channel and in WDM environment with five 200 GHz-spaced 42.66 Gbit/s channels, respectively.
