Abstract :
The paper presents the performance evaluation of an optical network using a simple optical cross-connect (OXC) architecture, with fixed wavelength conversion. The main advantage of a network using this OXC is the absence of any tunable components in the nodes. Obtained results show that networks with this OXC design approach the behavior of networks with ideal OXCs.
