Abstract :
Novel all-fibre-based, short-pulse sources are described using resonator geometries or single-pass plus nonlinear shaping for pulse-length and wavelength versatility with holey fibres for dispersion compensation. Air-cored PCF´s allow the realization of all-fibre chirp pulse amplifiers.
