Abstract :
A compact, efficient, all-solid-state yellow-orange laser based on a transversely diode-pumped self-stimulating Nd/sup 3+/:KGd(WO/sub 4/)/sub 2/ Raman laser is demonstrated. A 590 nm yellow-orange output of 50 mW was obtained.
